Performance improvements for planar markerless tracking
The Unifeye Viewer Xtra for Windows is now linked completly statically and consists of only one file ( metaioUnifeyeViewer.x32). This solves the issues with the latest Adobe Shockwave player update (11.5.9.20) but requires your applications to be republished (see Unifeye Viewer version updates)
Major tracking performance and robustness improvements
Refactored the ARCamera class of the UnifeyeViewerToolkit: The tracking resolution is not bound to the camera capture resolution any more. You can initialize the webcam with a high resolution for display and the grabbed camera frame for tracking will be automatically down-scaled to the tracking resolution (which increases the tracking performance).
Fixed the issue with returned tracking values when the COS is not being tracked; getTrackingValues() now returns always a zero matrix when a COS/pattern is not being tracked.
Added hotspot tracking for detecting motion in defined regions of the camera frame. An example application FlashSimpleGesture is included in the package.
Added an example application (FlashARWithAway3D) using the Away3D rendering engine.
Bugfix for loading tracking configuration files on a systems where the Windows username contains MBCS (e.g. Japanese) characters
The ApplicationConfiguration file for the FlashARFrame example now contains the baseURL parameter (see ApplicationConfiguration).
Major tracking improvements for detecting a tracking pattern
Bugfix: sometimes the tracking returned NaN values
Bugfix: sometimes the tracking delivered the same tracking values although the the tracking pattern was moved (rotated or translated) in front of the camera
Several bugfixes in the Unifeye Viewer Toolkit
Note: Only one Xtra (the previously known deployment Xtra) is being shipped which implies that only encrypted tracking configuration files can be used. metaio will encrypt your tracking patterns for you before deployment once you purchase the deployment license (Please contact sales@metaio.com).
