System Requirements

• Windows XP (SP 3) / Windows Vista / Windows 7(32-bit and 64-bit)
• Dual core processor with at least 1.7 GHZ (Quad core recommended)
• 3D graphics card with 512 MB RAM and latest drivers installed (e.g Nvidia GeForce 8800GT or higher). Graphics cards with shared memory are not recommended.
• 2 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended)
• USB webcam with latest Windows drivers

Note: The actual requirements vary with the size of the 3D-models, the required frame rates and the complexity of the AR-application.

Purchasing

Unifeye Design is available for online purchasing at the metaio homepage. After the purchase has been confirmed, a download link to an installer file and a license ticket number will be provided via the order confirmation email.

Installation and license activation

Requirements

• Installer file
• Internet connection
• License ticket number from order confirmation email

Procedure

1. Execute the installer file onto the PC on which the software later is to be used. The default installation destination is C:\Program Files\metaio\Unifeye Design.
2. Start Unifeye Design, e.g. from the Start>All programs>metaio>Unifeye Design.
3. Upon first start, the software will report a missing license file. Press "Activate" in the pop-up window to continue.
4. The Unifeye Design Activation Wizard opens. If you have an existing connection to the internet, press "Next" to continue.
   Note: Please refer to the chapter below if you are not able to connect to the internet during the activation process. Please also note that firewalls and Proxy servers may prevent a successful installation.
   
   
5. Copy the ticket number from the order confirmation email to the next message window and press "Next" to continue.
   
   
6. At successful activation, press "Finish" to close the Activation Wizard.
7. Press "Retry" in the initial pop-up window to register the license to the sofware.
8. At successful registration, Unifeye Design will start.

The activation of the software license file is only required once. See below for more details on the license activation.

Online software license activation

Unifeye Design software requires an online license activation using the ticket number provided in the online order confirmation email. The use of the software is limited to one PC per license and is bound to a specific hardware, means the license activation can only be done from the computer on which the software is to be used.

The ticket number will be requested by the software upon first start in order to conduct the license activation. An internet connection is thus required to perform the license activation.

Notes:

• If for any reason an internet connection is not available or the activation does not work, please press the "Create a License Information File" button during the activation process and send it to license@metaio.com . You will be provided with instructions on how to register the license file to the software. However, for your convenience, the online activation is strongly recommended. Note that firewalls and Proxy servers may also prevent an automatic license activation.
• If it is required to use the software on multiple PCs (but not at the same time), Unifeye Design can be run with a hardware License-Protection-Key. If you are interested in a dongle-based protection, please contact sales@metaio.com .
