AR-Content

3D models

  • create animated 3D-content using your favorite 3D tool (Maya,3DS Max, Cinema4D, XSI, Blender etc.) - independently of Unifeye Design
  • 3D-model manipulation (VRML-fields, materials, transformation) of imported 3D-objects in realtime
  • 3D-format: VRML 2.0 (VRML 97)

Videos

  • simply mapped as texture on a 3D-object
  • video-formats: avi, wmv, mpeg with installed CODECs

Sound

  • add sound-playback to your AR-experience by including it into VRML-objects
  • VRML sound-format: wav. The workflow engine can also load/playback mp3 sound file.

Images

  • simply mapped as texture on a 3D-object
  • image-format: jpg, png with alpha channel, bmp

GUI and language

  • available in English and German
  • Intuitive and customizable graphical user interface (GUI)
  • savable AR-Scenes/projectsas Unifeye scene files

Tracking

  • marker based and planar markerless (natural feature based) tracking possibilities
  • marker based tracking configuration tool to quickly set up binary markers
  • planar markerless tracking configuration tool to set up custom marker patterns (e.g magazine cover, images, logos etc.)
  • includes a function to automatically analyze custom marker patterns in respect to their tracking-quality to assure a robust AR-performance
  • automatic generation of marker-printouts as PDF-files and tracking configurations as XML file

Renderer

  • based on the Bitmanagement BS-Contact (Version 7.210) (further information can be found here: http://www.bitmanagement.com)
  • Direct X and OpenGL-Support
  • Advanced Shading via Direct X and HSLS (.fx)
  • Fullscreen View

Cameras

  • support for all Direct Show cameras (e.g. Webcams etc.)
  • additional cameras (e.g Cam-Corders) are supported by using Blackmagic Design framegrabber cards (DeckLink, DeckLink HD Extreme 3D and Intensity)
  • video-input via: USB, FireWire, Gig-E, or Blackmagic Design framegrabber cards
  • Sextant camera calibration tool to correct camera-lens distortions

Workflow Engine: node-based AR programming

  • easy to use visual programming interface to enable designers to create complex AR scenarios by using predefined action-nodes
  • constantly increasing node-library
  • further enhanced possibilities by programming your own actions/nodes (knowledge of C# required)
  • store Workflows as XML-File

Interaction

standard input devices such as mouse, keyboard or direct marker interaction
