Action Recorder

The Unifeye Design Action Recorder offers two basic features:

• Recording of the interaction between user and Unifeye Design
• Playback of Unifeye Workflows

Record interaction

Clicking on Start recording forces the system to capture every method-call to Unifeye Design. Another click on Stop recording turns off the capturing again.

The recorded elements can be selected in the list and deleted by pressing 'Del' on the keyboard or using the right-click mouse-context menu. You can also copy the elements to the clipboard using the context-menu or CTRL+C.

Clicking on Save opens a dialog, that asks for input and saves the captured method calls as a Unifeye Action File. (XML Format) This file can then be reused in Unifeye Workflows. Please note that a recorded action might require manual editing before it can be used in workflows properly. Especially variables should be introduced e.g. for handling geometry IDs. Otherwise the according actions won't work correctly when the state of Unifeye changes (e.g. by loading/unloading different geometries) compared to when the action was initially recorded.

Clicking on New clears the recorded list.

The recorded scenario can be played back by clicking on Play and stopped again by clicking on Stop

Playback of workflows

The lower part enables you to run Unifeye Workflows, which have been created previously with the Workflow Authoring GUI.

Using a context menu workflows can be started, stopped or paused. You can also click on the Play and Stop button to start and stop the selected Workflow. The current status of a worklflow (inactive, running, paused) is visualized using an icon in the list.

The system automatically adds workflows, which have been saved in the Workflow Authoring GUI before. You can add additional Workflows to the list by clicking on the Add Workflow button.

You can edit the selected Workflow with the Authoring GUI by clicking on the Edit Workflow .

Clicking on the Start Workflow Authoring GUI button allows a fast an easy way to switch between Unifeye GUI and Workflow Authoring GUI
